Employee Surveys
An increasing number of
our clients now conduct regular company-wide employee surveys. A
regular survey - perhaps 6 monthly or annually - allows you to understand
not only the situation at that point in time, but also to compare
results and monitor trends. Surveys can be designed for all employees,
or for specific groups such as your Management Team. All survey
questionnaires will be tailored to your organisation.
Improve
the long-term health of your business
An employee survey shows you really care, improves staff retention
(especially amongst those you value most highly), has a positive
effect on customer satisfaction, productivity and company
profitability. In short, an employee survey leaves your business
in stronger long-term health, with valuable payback in several
different areas.
Diagnose
then Measure
Usually a combination of qualitative (diagnostic) and quantitative
(measurement) techniques is required. For instance, individual
interviews and discussion groups (and sometimes, brainstorming
sessions) are often used to assess and understand the range
of views/issues/attitudes that exist. |

Publish
& discuss results
With very few exceptions, survey results - warts and all - should
be independently produced, then published and openly discussed.
This demonstrates that everybody has a valid view, that problems
cannot be ignored or covered up, and that Management are determined
both to listen and act.
A
powerful tool
Since all employee surveys should be 100% confidential and non-attributable,
a survey is a powerful way of understanding how your staff are really
feeling…
…but you must want to know, and be willing to act
on what you discover!
